Do You Know About LSI Keywords — 9 Comments

  1. I’ve used the Keyword Shitter before and found it pretty useful, especially for a freebie. I think you get more out of it by playing around with different keywords which can take some time. Since it’s free and useful, I’m not about to complain.

    • It’s good not to rush anyway as you really shouldn’t be in a hurry to pick a keyword title for your post or book because the title means a Lot. Some very successful internet marketers love to do keyword research as it can lead to groups of searchers who are all looking for the same exact thing by entering the same keyword month after month. Thanks for your time and comment.

  2. I didn’t realize google seemed to favor titles that are branded. That’s good to know. I’ve thought about starting a blog so I’m adding these tidbits to my knowledge toolbox.

  3. I didn’t know there were even different kinds of keywords. All of the jobs I’ve seen for freelance blogging include SEO keywords, pretty much always, but I’ve never seen someone specifically mention LSI. Could that be lumped in under the general use of “keywords”?

    • yes it could, but is a fine topic and selling point for the SEO specialist when sharing services offered to a client. It’s also something that you definitely would like your hired SEO specialist to know about and apply.

      • I’ve considered freelance writing while on the road since I used to write our material at work. Offering LSI friendly content would set me apart. I appreciate the detailed info here!

  4. I didn’t know that not only is it not beneficial, but actually works against you, to use the keyword more than twice. I’ll have to keep those that and those LSIs in mind when writing my next article. Thanks for the tip!

    • I didn’t know that either, Wendy. I originally thought you needed to use the same keyword, but I wonder if it’s really an after effect of all those content mills that used keyword stuffing. I’m glad I found this site to steer me in the right direction.

      • You make a great point, Sadie. I didn’t think about how that might not have always been the case. I would bet my bottom dollar that’s exactly what happened. This is making me wonder how long SEO has even been a thing and feeling a little silly for not knowing. I’ll have to look into it. But yes, I’m so glad I found this site too! It’s taught me a lot about things I would’ve never thought of on my own.
